Beyond Princesses
We love to go to the movies with our daughter (yes, she will still actually go with us and sit next to us!) It’s occasionally challenging to find a movie that is interesting to a 13 year old and also has appropriate subject matter. We’re not a family that goes to horror movies or movies with violence which knocks out a lot of what’s out there. The last movie we saw with her was The Theory of Everything and we all loved it. So I was excited to see this list for 36 Movies for Teens, Tweens and their parents for 2015. We’ll pass on the dystopian plots but there are several on this list that look promising. We are lucky that we can walk to our neighborhood theater from our house and the conversation recapping each person’s favorite parts of the movie are as good as the movie itself. Popcorn optional.

So hard to move beyond Princess these days. Even finding clothing for the 8 and under set at most chain stores is a trial. I am putting this link somewhere for a few years so I can pass along when my granddaughters are a bit older. And somehow I don’ to think popcorn will be optional.
